Common questions

How Fast We Get to You

What happens after I call?

Someone on our team picks up straight away and asks what's going on, no automated menu to sit through. From there we lock in a time and send a licensed plumber out with a fixed quote ready before any tools come out.

How fast can you get here?

Usually the same day, provided you call before our run for the day fills up. We'll tell you a realistic timeframe on the phone rather than leaving you guessing.

What counts as a drain emergency?

Toilet or shower water pushing back into the house, an overflow gully spilling across the lawn, or two or more fixtures blocking up together are worth ringing about immediately. Waiting to see whether it settles down on its own usually makes the eventual fix bigger.

How do I book?

Call (02) 9023 2096 and we'll lock in a time on the spot, or send the details through and we'll call you back to sort it out.

Common questions

Money, Quotes and the $65 Off

What does "$65 off your first service" cover?

It's taken straight off whatever job you book first, a jet blast, a CCTV look, or just clearing a straightforward blockage. It's a new-customer offer only, with nothing hidden behind it.

What discounts do you offer?

New customers save $65 on their first service. A jet blast job gets a CCTV look thrown in, a $200-plus job gets a plumbing inspection thrown in, any paid job earns a garden tap, and seniors take 20% off the bill. None of these come with fine print, so ask what applies to your job when you call.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No, it's $0 to have us come and look at the problem. You only pay for the work once you've agreed to it.

Do prices change once you start?

No, that's the whole point of pricing it upfront. We agree the price together on the spot, and that's what you pay, regardless of how the job runs on the day.

Common questions

The Carramar Questions

How local are you, really?

We're in Carramar most weeks, working the streets around the station shops and Wattle Avenue as often as anywhere else on our run. It's not a head office claim, it's just where the calls keep coming from.

Why do Carramar's older homes get blocked drains?

A lot of the housing here went up in the post-war years on earthenware clay pipes, and streets like Koonoona Avenue still run on that original drainage. Decades of ground movement crack the joints, and tree roots from the older street plantings find their way in through the cracks.

Can you handle new builds and renovations here?

Yes. Modern PVC drainage behaves nothing like the old clay pipework it usually replaces, and we tie new work into whatever's already sitting underground without drama.

Do you handle strata and units?

Most of Carramar is standalone and semi-detached housing, but yes, we take on strata blocks and units too, including drainage that's shared across more than one property.

Common questions

Licensed, Insured and Done Properly

What is your lifetime labour warranty?

Every drain job we do carries a lifetime labour warranty on our workmanship. If our work is ever the cause of a problem later on, we return and repair it ourselves for free, whether that's next month or years from now.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, NSW Plumbing Licence #465156C, and we're licensed plumbers and gas fitters as well. Fully insured for every job we take on, big or small.

Can I clear a blocked drain myself?

A basic sink clog usually responds to a plunger or some hot water down the drain. Once it's an actual drainage fault though, NSW law puts that work in a licensed plumber's hands, so skip the chemical drain cleaners and leave the pipework to us.

Do wipes really block drains?

All the time. Flushable wipes are not flushable, whatever the packaging claims, and we trace a good share of our blocked-toilet call-outs straight back to them.
